The Scottish Historical Review

The Scottish Historical Review is the premier journal in the field of Scottish historical studies. Covering all time periods and encouraging a diversity of approaches, SHR contributors are considered leaders in their areas of expertise. Published by Edinburgh University Press, three issues are published each year in April, August, and December. Monograph Series

The Scottish Historical Review Monograph Second Series is published by Boydell & Brewer, under the supervision of series editor Professor Steve Boardman. Designed to promote major works of scholarly research covering any aspect or period of Scottish History and particularly to support the work of early-career scholars, each work is selected in partnership with SHRT Trustees.
